Scott Vincent to Tee-Off with The Masters Champion

Zimbabwe’s top ranked amateur golfer Scott Vincent is set to tee off with the recently crowned Masters champion Jordan Spieth who was crowned at Augustus this past weekend.
the two are set to go head to head this upcoming weekend as they battle it out in the RBC Heritage Classic on April 16-20 at the Harbour Town Golf Links at Sea Pines Plantation in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

This will be a chance for Scott Vincent to turn pro and speaking on the tourney in an interview the humble Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University senior was quick to rubbish any expectations as he dismissed anything big saying that to him this was an opportunity to learn from the best.

"Don't set expectations too high and just soak every bit of what there is to soak in on the PGA Tour." Speaking on his chances in the tournament he went on to add, "I'm just here to learn," he said. "Hopefully I'll be back in a few years' time." Vincent was quick to rubbish his chances as he affirmed that this was only a learning experience for him.“I just hope to play as best as I can,” Vincent said. “I’m looking at this as a great learning experience. I want to play on the PGA Tour in the future” he said in an interview.

The RBC Heritage Classic on April 16-20 at the Harbour Town Golf Links at Sea Pines Plantation in Hilton Head, South Carolina and it will also include Zimbabwe’s Brendan De Jonge who’s been on the PGA tour for quite a while. The tournament also comes at a handsome purse of $5,900,000.

The young golfer is making history as this makes him the first active Virginia Tech golfer to compete in a PGA Tour-sponsored event since Drew Weaver stint in the 2008 Masters.
Past champions include such notables as Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Nick Faldo, Hale Irwin, Bernhard Langer, Johnny Miller, Greg Norman, Nick Price, Tom Watson and the late Payne Stewart.

This is going to be chance for Scott Vincent to enhance his golfing skills as he is not really expecting much from this one apart from it being merely a chance to learn from the best .“Ultimately, this will be very motivating, playing on the biggest stage,” Vincent added in an interview. “And I’m going to want to get back out on the course and play immediately.”
