Sorry For The Banglawash - ZC

Perkins-Tino Bare
Zimbabwe were humiliated once again as they did what they have slowly become accustomed to not only lose but to also make sure that they do it a comprehensive manner as they went in for another Banglawash going down 5-0 in the ODI series.
The loss could all but just augment the increasing calls for Mangongo`s head, the gaffer who apparently has no batting coach and after years of coaching still seems incapable to lead a national team. Mangongo also became the first ever Zimbabwean coach to receive a whitewash from Bangladesh and the second-ever to lose to the tigers.
In their 5th victory which was dedicated to Phil Hughes, Zimbabwe went down by 5 wickets but at this moment what is shocking is the huge margins they are going down with in Bangladesh whereby only two players can only manage to score double figures in an ODI match whilst the rest have a combined total of 36 runs extras included.
At this juncture what is most startling for Zimbabwe is that the tour exposed weaknesses which we all know there is not enough time to fix given the World cup is starting in days
One then wonders whether we are ready for the World Cup for what we have is a team that disappointed Chingoka to the point of resigning whereby after years of nurturing they failed to blossom into World class players.
In the press conference held this afternoon at the Harare Sports Club Manase promised that they would be changing the MD and Alastair Campbell was among the top contenders. He also added a couple of empty promises whilst waffling over the issue of our game going down the drain and the restoration of faith in stakeholders.
Manase added `ZC sincerely apologizes for the performance of the team, we will wait for the team to get back and get to the bottom of it`. Whilst promising a restoration of the ZC finances by 2019 Manase seemed more on an escapade of dishing out political promises to ensure his job forgetting the clear fact that the world cup is around the corner and we literally do not have a team.
Though he promised two tours against England and India next year it’s a time to take a long hard look in the mirror for how can we be organizing a tours when the boys just seem to be playing more pathetic with each game.
Manase brilliantly avoided any questions as they `await on the team to come back before cracking the whip` and on what they planned to do moving forward especially in the upcoming World Cup which at this rate we are going to have to fight hard to regain that spot once lost.
Also one habit that is slowly becoming annoying about ZC is that of lying as seen earlier today whereby Wilson Manase the ZC Chairman says they are restructuring again only as a way of trying to restore the faith of the many disappointed fans.
Manase just went in making blunt promises which he himself could not even explain how they were intending to attain say financial stability at this rate when they are flat broke players are constantly striking and are now using poor performances as a way to send a method.
The truth is ZC finds itself in a corner whereby the boys who were raised by Chingoka are playing spoilt kids as they have always done but now the pool from which ZC can fetch upcoming players is virtually talentless as they are no better than the team which is preceding them as seen by the attempt to slowly usher them into the team by this tour which has since horribly backfired.

This then leaves ZC with a team that has since aged and a junior policy that not even Chingoka could trust which leaves them with promises until they sneak another victory to wipe of the drying tears.
