Record-Breaking Start for the Chevrons in Sri Lanka Test

    courtesy of espn cricinfo By Perkins Bare The Chevrons got off to astrong start in Day 1 of their first Test against Sri Lanka as they closed off the day at 182-9 at the Harare Sports Club yesterday. The match saw the Chevrons having the opening batsmen,1-3 posting half-centuries in a Test Match which certainly got them off to a great start. Kevin Kasuza and Prince Masvaure opened the batting for the Chevrons and they went on to post   a partnership of 96 for the opening wicket. The Chevrons went straight for a defensive approach after they opted to bat and managed to close Day 1 on 182-2. This will be a good start for the Chevrons as the extra wickets will come in handy on the second day in racking up those runs and hopefully setting up a strong lead. Shayne Makombé et le Compiègne au bout d'une Promotion

par Perkins-Tino Baré Shayne Makombe pourrait bien être au verge d’une histoire avec son club de Rugby Club de Compiègne. Le club de Compiègne est deuxième actuellement au classement qui permettra les play-offs pour la promotion au Fédérale 2 pour la saison prochain et il fait un des jouers très important dans cette nouveau developpement,. Tout a commencé il y a deux ans après qu’ils ont perdu leur droit au Fédérale 2 et alors la plupart de leurs jouers ont quitté apres la relegation. Les Campiegnois ont decide de recrter quelques jouers dont Shayne Makombe faisait partie la saison dernière. Il a éte donc récruté en tant que jouer et en meme temps comme entraineur pour les moins de 14ans. « Notre mauvaise image liée à la crise nous a handicapé, regrette Thibaut Neumann, le directeur technique au journal Le Parisien. Chevrons Set to Host Pakistan and Australia in Tri-Series

By Perkins-Tino Bare Zimbabwe Cricket is set to resume to action with a T20 tri-series against Pakistan and Australia slated for July at the Harare Sports Club. On the domestic front the A- List games were also announced as the boys get back to the pitch after failing to qualify for the World Cup.  Speaking at a press conference held by Zimbabwe Cricket Faisal Hasnain, ZC MD said "Playing two of the game's biggest teams will provide us with a very welcome litmus test as we forge ahead with our plans to develop a stronger Zimbabwe side capable of consistently competing and winning against the best," Faisal Hasnain, he said n an interview. Australia and Pakistan are set to come for a T20 tri-series in July with the final slated for 8 July. After that the Chevrons will then take on Pakistan in a 5 match ODI series set for the queens Sports Club as they look to try and get some game time.
