By Perkins Bare Malcolm Waller was the beneficiary of a second chance from the ICC as he successfully went through a rehabilitation chance in South Africa which then made him eligible again to bowl. The bowler who had been banned by the ICC last year from bowling as a result of suspicious bowling action. The ICC said analysis "revealed that all of his off-spin deliveries exceeded the 15 degrees level of tolerance permitted under the regulations". Malcolm Waller underwent reassessment work at the University of Pretoria this month with the remedial work concluding that Waller`s off-spin deliveries was well withinn the 15 degrees permitted by the ICC Regulations for the Review of Bowlers Reported with Suspected Illegal Bowling Actions. Zimbabwe lost to Algeria 87-67 in their opening encounter.T Maturure was the lone star in the match as he had 14 points and 10 rebounds. Tawanda Chitsinde also came in with 11 points which was still far off to notch up a win. Zimbabwe struggled with shooting from range as they had a 3pt percentage of 21 compared to Algeria`s 33.
